Activating Poetic Attention
Daily Prompts
Created by Shannon Litzenberger with original artwork by Ceinwen Gobert
How does the quality of our attention affect the quality of our being?
Activating Poetic Attention is a series of short, daily practices designed to disrupt your default self-in-the-world relationships by stimulating novel discovery within the context of familiar encounters. It is an invitation to foreground embodied and sensory perceptions to reclaim a sense of interdependence with the world around you.
These practices, in the form of twenty-eight short, daily prompts, invite you to consider your relationship with yourself, others in your community(ies) and the land on which you are situated. There is no right or wrong way to engage, only that you do.
Developed and written by dance artist and embodiment facilitator Shannon Litzenberger (@shannonlitz), each prompt is paired with evocative, original artwork created by dancer and visual artist Ceinwen Gobert (@ceigart).
